It’s no surprise that I hate watching people eat in public, especially weird things (noted both on this blog and in my stand-up).  The worst perpetrators of this offense have, in my experience, been students.  There was the shoebox sized takeout container of seasoned ground beef in my Protestant Reformation Literature seminar and the unwrapped fast food hamburger being kept in a pencil case...

so here's something
I need a new large kitchen knife, and since I planned to order a book from Amazon, I figured why not order one from there?  So I typed in ‘knife’ to the search box at the top of the page and figured that the site would deliver me a page of various kitchen knives and I could specify from there.  Nope, that’s not how it happened.  Amazon defaults to HUNTING KNIVES.  I don’t...

After some thorough research at several New York grocery stores (Fairway, Key Foods, Food Emporium, Whole Foods) and a handful of other snack outposts (namely multiple Duane Reade and CVS locations), I’ve concluded that Quaker Oats no longer makes Chewy Bars in the peanut butter and chocolate flavor.  Even in the variety packs.  HAS ANYONE SEEN THEM OR ARE THEY GONE FOREVER?
