Splitsider featured an article by Sarah Schneider about the (downright disappointing) numbers of women in comedy writing. I may not be sitting in any sitcom writers’ rooms yet, but I can speak personally to how few women are writing comedy. flavor flav's fast food chicken? →
In an interesting news item, rapper/reality star/wall-clock-necklace-wearer Flavor Flav is opening a fried chicken place in Clinton, Iowa. In the scheme of rappers and hip-hop artists to open food service outposts, I’d much rather eat somewhere credited to a person who goes by Flavor Flav than, say, Ol’ Dirty Bastard.

Eater National pointed me to this hilarious tumblr with which I could not agree more. Do you ever visit restaurant websites (I long ago abandoned them in favor of menupages—which has super cute cartoons on the pages and features every menu from Locanda Verde to Subway). Anyway, it’s spot on and easy to imagine/remember the internet atrocities that each post discusses.
